As it's good for us catholics to know the teaching of our religion, so it's good to know what the others religions are about, particularly Islam. If we don't, sooner or later we will all die or submit.

Btw, deep timers are obviously even worse off in chronology. 4.5 billion years for earth and 13.5 billion years for Heavens is way longer than just 50.000 years, which in itself is already too long.

Theology: 1) God knows everything beforehand and has "his plans" made from eternity - can one say God "is planning"?

2) Destroying a building can be done both by God and by Satan if God permits it.

3) One can say God "tricked" Satan in giving him occasion to deceive himself by plotting the crucifixion of the God-Man. But can one say that God "deceives"? I think not - and of course, that too just might be a bad translation. But God did not lie to Satan even, still less to anyone else.
