Sedevacantists, explain this...

Council of Constance:

Session VIII: Condemned Articles of John Wyclif:
Canon 8: if a pope is foreknown as damned and is evil, and is therefore a limb of the devil, he does not have authority over the faithful given to him by anyone, except perhaps by the emperor. [Condemned!]

Session XV: condemned articles of John Hus:
Canon 20: If the pope is wicked, and especially if he's foreknown to damnation, then he is a devil like Judas the apostle, a thief and a son of perdition and is not the head of the holy church militant since he is not even a member of it. [Condemned!]

Excuse me, did you miss the extremely important distinction between "wicked" and "teaching heresy"?

Or did your priest do so, and if so, what does THAT tell you of his credentials in Catholic theology?

Hans-Georg Lundahl there's alot of distinctions. I go with what is simple and real. Pope Francis is the Roman Pontiff. The Roman Catholic Church isn't in Apostasy. Vatican II is an Ecumenical Council approved by overwhelming acceptance of the world's Bishops. The Roman See is quite occupied and Tradition is reviving Her as we speak. Visibility is core principal of the Church and Christ's promises to Her.

It's neither simple, nor real, just Protestant confusion to state "if the Pope does not lose office for being in mortal sin or for being foreknown as to going to Hell, neither does he do so for heresy" ...

I'm not disputing visibility.

Unlike "X is in mortal sin" or "Y will be going to Hell", "Z preaches heresy" is a visible fact, and thereby apt to deprive Z of any office he may hold, including papacy.

Visible heresy in "JP 2" like "Galileo was right", "Evolution is more than [just] a theory", "CCC" with §§ 283 and those around 390, "Exegesis of the Bible in the Church" ...

Visible heresy in "Francis" like "God is not a Demiurge with an Omnipotent Magic Wand" ...
