Robert Carter, on his wall
I've got a new article up on creation.com!

Interesting. Thanks for the analysis. I was generalizing things for a popular audience and you are trying to hold my feet to the fire in ways more specific than I intended to convey. Next time I will try and craft my words more carefully. In the meantime, however, men walking on the moon, the eruption of MT St Helens, etc., are not truly historical science. Yes, they occurred in the past, but they also occurred in the age of videography and instrumentation. We also have living witnesses, and have recorded the testimonies of those witnesses. Thus, I would define "historical science" with Aquinas' "contingents that are far off, in the past or hidden".

You are also correct that I blended flat earth with geocentrism. That was a gloss on my part an d I should have caught it. However, I at least answered the flat earth part conclusively.

And as far as the Van Allen Radiation Belts are concerned, yes, they are dangerous to human life but, no, they do not preclude people inside a metallic space capsule from traveling though them. We can and have measured radiation exposure in such scenarios and have determined that the presence of the VARB is not a barrier to space exploration.

You know, we cannot post a link to your blog, but some of the material would be appropriate for the article comment section on creation.com

To which
I gave a double answer, A and B. I will start with B, which got not response, and then go on to A, where a further exchange was made.

Hans-Georg Lundahl, B
"Yes, they occurred in the past, but they also occurred in the age of videography and instrumentation."

For Mount Saint Helen's, I'd agree insofar as so many witnesses independent of each other and of any central organism is there.

For Moon landing, I do not agree, since all witnesses to them actually being on moon depended on NASA and were few and videography could have been faked.

Living witnesses are still witness knowledge, not scientific knowledge. And witnesses dead or alive, it also depends on how many and independent they are.

"And as far as the Van Allen Radiation Belts are concerned, yes, they are dangerous to human life but, no, they do not preclude people inside a metallic space capsule from traveling though them. We can and have measured radiation exposure in such scenarios and have determined that the presence of the VARB is not a barrier to space exploration."

Thank you very much, I'd appreciate a link on that matter. And my blog has no policy barring me from posting it. [It was not given.]

Hans-Georg Lundahl, A
I don't know why.

You have very certainly in the past posted links to sites outside your own.

Robert Carter
Only with a "Courtesy Warning" to our customers (i.e., no direct links), and only for sites that are accepted as a community standard. Since we cannot guarantee the content of personal blogs they are certainly not going to be linked to.

Hans-Georg Lundahl
You cannot guarantee the content of ANY site except your own.

ANY site you actually are linking to has exactly the same problem.

Plus you have already deviated from that policy by linking to the blog of my rival Sungenis.

Plus with my creationist blog up for so long, you can certainly by now know its typical content, so you could "guarantee" it in the sense required - you would obviously be able to first state your reservations against the policy of my blog.

Apart from being YEC, it is LXX-based rather than Ussher based in chronology, it is Catholic rather than Protestant, it is Geocentric. THAT much you can guarantee.

Precisely as there were things you could guarantee with the blog GWW or GWWTCWR. Or whatever acronym Sungenis uses for his blog Galileo Was Wrong, the Church Was Right. To which you effectively linked.

You cannot "guarantee" me being right, but since you are not the magisterium of the Catholic Church, you are not in such a position whichever blog you link to.

You cannot guarantee me being "scientific", since natural sciences are very much not my primary study, rather a sideshow. But you can guarantee my not claiming to be a scientist. You can go through the 200 and more articles and see that nowhere ever did I claim to be a natural scientist. I claim to be a philosopher of the subject (note my reference to Theory of Knowledge = epistemology) and also, which is independently true, an amateur expert.

Now, you have not linked to, but quoted one Chesterton who was very certainly NOT a natural scientist and hardly even an amateur expert (though I am not so sure about that), but who was writing as a philosopher and identifying the problem of irreducible complexity well before I think any creation scientists were around doing so. Except perhaps some of the pre-Darwinians old guard, like Agassiz.

Robert Carter
"Catholic rather than Protestant, it is Geocentric. THAT much you can guarantee." I knew none of this, but it is also irrelevant. Our rules are stated and clear. BTW, we wrestled long and hard about even using Sungenes' [sic] name, let alone putting up a link (text only) to his material, knowing how the geocentrists typically act, and oh look, here you are being unreasonable. Thank you for proving our point. No, you will certainly not get a live link.

Hans-Georg Lundahl
"Our rules are stated and clear."

As far as I know, that rule is as yet not the eleventh commandment. It is a rule by which you think you are usually accomplishing sth good. And if I think you are in this case not doing so, perhaps you should question the application - or the rule.

"BTW, we wrestled long and hard about even using Sungenes' [sic] name, let alone putting up a link (text only) to his material,"

I bet the fact he already had publicity without you helped the decision.

"knowing how the geocentrists typically act,"

Namely?

"and oh look, here you are being unreasonable."

About what?

"Thank you for proving our point."

About what?

"No, you will certainly not get a live link."

You have already said that, even so you can thank me having another policy than you for some of your readers. I have at least helped you make some money (donation and indirectly buying of your printed material), you are not very returning about the favour.

"I knew none of this,"

Oh, you are NOT the one who read Dixit Aquinas, nor one of the four who read my comment on your statement of faith?

Or you are lying about not knowing previously to my mentioning it?

Or you meant "knew" other than "knew before I told you," namely "knew before I looked"?

Those are basically the alternatives. You know, my visitor stats are usable. I took those for "last 24 hours".

After which, I added a link to a picture of me showing my cardboard, as photographed a morning as a homeless man (still am such) and then mentioned part of the reason is people not linking.

Here are some statistics, by the way.

Last 24 hours, verified 2.XI.2016, before adding the words about stats on his wall.

Continuing discussion (on EU) with me cut off from group

1) Discussion of Electro-Magnetic Universe · 2) Continuing discussion (on EU) with me cut off from group

Since group is public, I can still see it from my other non-member profile. Today I took a look and decided to answer the points:

Steven Jones
Either way its with out doubt imo ( the stars) symbolic for angels with the revelation 12 seemingly their in 2017, well things could really ramp up. We will just wait n see. But yeah either way symbolically the meaning is clear on the stars.

HGL (from outside group)
Why is "symbolic" without doubt?

Earlier generations of Christians do or did consider angels as moving heavenly bodies.

Cameron James
Hans-Georg Lundahl I love the needle experiment proves the EU hypothesis

HGL (from outside group)
Not really, since it proves if orbits depended on electricity, they would cease very fast.

Matt SIngleton
Just wondering Hans. Physics classifies light as electric. The bible recognized that light permeates the heavens and it was created on day 1separated as day. Do you agree that the day is electric?

HGL (from outside group)
Physics classifies light as electric.

Or electromagnetic. Or a wavemovement in the aether (a k a ether). Depending on which physicist at what epoch and so on.

The bible recognized that light permeates the heavens and it was created on day 1 separated as day.

Created or reaching earth on day one. There was probably light in the heavens before.

Do you agree that the day is electric?

Neither that it is nor that it isn't.

I am pretty sure ether is vibrating when light is shining (at least the visible type).

I think electricity too may have to do with ether. As for electrons, that is one theory.

No one has per se observed an electron, unless God has.

If electricity is electrons, the plasma state would be necessary for it to exists. If light is electricity, the plasma state would be necessary for light to exist, if electricity is electrons.

But if either light is not electricity or electricity is not electrons exclusively, there is no need for plasma just because there is light, even if there is light everywhere.

So, existence of plasma state is not per se observed, it is concluded.

Discussion of Electro-Magnetic Universe

1) Discussion of Electro-Magnetic Universe · 2) Continuing discussion (on EU) with me cut off from group

I don't think it impossible electromagnetic plasma permeates the universe.

But neither do I think this solves the basic problem with Newton's view.

Here is a discussion where I oppose one who does think so.

Cameron James
Ever wondered why NASA and its sycophants are always puzzled at every new discovery in space, and why its vaunted "experts" are consistently incapable of explaining any phenomenon without recourse to mathematical gymnastics and imaginary constructions pulled from the nearest hat? Why do they later come out and say that this is normal even though it goes against all their assumptions?

It's quite simple really: because standard theories are as wrong as it's possible to be, ignoring the presence of electromagnetic forces in favour of gravity, a force 10 to the power of 39 (that's 10 with 39 trailing zeroes) weaker than EM. Unfortunately, it is becoming increasingly clear that the universe and everything in it is motivated by electricity, and that gravity is simply the observed result of charge differential. Strangely we know (or THINK we know) that subatomic particles such as neutrons, protons and electrons are controlled by electrical forces, yet for some reason this is ignored when we think on bigger scales. Not for much longer, I hope.

Jonathan D'Souza
Virtually everything is run according to Public Relations Ideology - which means spinning things and lying in your favor, no matter how daft - It's one of the things they ingrain into you in College Business Writing Courses. - Never make your company seem weak or mistaken - word things such that they are always seen as a benefit to your audience, even when you are depriving them of something.

Basically 'lying' and 'subterfuge' is an institutionalized practice and a job benefit. Politics, Science, Education, finance, consumer goods, even the Catholic Church now sadly adopts this practice.

Hell isn't only filled with lawyers. It's also filled with Public Relations Agents. Down there they're still employed into perpetuity.

Cameron James
Ha! So true!

A.j. Kukoleck
earlier today i was thinking about what if evolution or the standard model was a traded company. noboday would buy it. like the bad news with climate gate emails. al gores carbon credit company took a nose dive. if these scientists were as zealous for the truth as they lead us to believe evoluiton and the standard model wouldnt get talked about.

Matt SIngleton
The only thing that I can see missing from the New Years cosmology model is the mathematics. We have seen the math work with geo under Mach's principle.

And an electric universe increases the universal forces exponentially and the process running more smoothly. But I still need the math. If that is done we can look into peer review.

Hans-Georg Lundahl
// ignoring the presence of electromagnetic forces in favour of gravity, a force 10 to the power of 39 (that's 10 with 39 trailing zeroes) weaker than EM. //

Why would weaker or stronger change anything about the problem how centripetal (or attractive) force manages to balance out centrifugal (or inertial as per previous movement) one?

Cameron James
We are looking for the truth

Hans-Georg Lundahl
Sure.

But truth implies using some logic.

If gravitation and electromagnetic force were competing as roles for a GLUE, perhaps you would have a point.

But in orbits, the question is how attractive force and the momentum for going on forward are BALANCED into an orbit - OR, if the explanation is ENTIRELY different.

I think orbits are there because angels in obedience to God are providing them.

Cameron James
If your hypothesis requires that you imagine that the universe is filled 96% with invisible dark matter and dark energy you have a problem

Hans-Georg Lundahl
Oh, that is another question!

I am not main stream. Just not much into electromagnetic universe.

So, back to my previous question : WHY would an electromagnetic universe explain, not glueing but ORBITTING better than gravitation?

Cameron James
Because it is 10-39 power stronger and doesn't need imaginary dark matter. It assumes a universe filled with electrical plasma. This has been verified but secular science can't explain how it got there so they deny it.

Hans-Georg Lundahl
"Because it is 10-39 power stronger and doesn't need imaginary dark matter."

Well, the "stronger" part misses, even once again, the fact we are, with orbits, not talking of a glue but of a balance.

If attraction is TOO strong, it means orbitting body will be sucked in.

Cameron James
With gravity we should fly away. With a universe filled with light we are connected and stay there he same distance

Hans-Georg Lundahl
More like "with gravity we would fly away, with electricity we would get sucked in".

Either way, the problem is the balance for an orbit resulting, as purported, from two forces.

Unlike a glueing together, which could result from just one attractive one.

Cameron James
With the EU it is like being on a string. Gravity by masses attraction is imaginary and way to weak to hold anything in. But we've been told it is a fact over and over. I question everything except the Bible and I hope to influence others to do this too.

[EU = electromagnetic universe, I presume?]
Hans-Georg Lundahl
"With the EU it is like being on a string"

No.

A string is not a dynamic inward force. It is statically holding a stone in, not pulling it closer to centre.

That is where a string differs from both electromagnetism and gravitation.

Hans-Georg Lundahl
As to Bible, it strongly suggests EITHER that stars are alive OR that angels are directing them.

Job 38: [7] When the morning stars praised me together, and all the sons of God made a joyful melody?

Judges 5: [20] War from heaven was made against them, the stars remaining in their order and courses fought against Sisara.

Cameron James
Put two huge balls on a rope and put them a fraction of an inch apart and test how masses attract. Now run electricity through one and see how the EU works.

A.j. Kukoleck
I can see magnetic forces being more attractive than gravity in close proximity

Hans-Georg Lundahl
Very nice - if the problem at hand were getting two bodies to stay close.

However, if you want to bodies to orbit ... that is a fundamentally different issue.

The experiment of Don Pettit only indirectly adressed gravity, but directly adressed electromagnetism.

The charged knitting needle is obviously attracting through electric force, watch how many times water droplets orbit around it:

[ISS] Don Petit, Science Off The Sphere - Water Droplets Orbiting Charged Knitting Needle
SpaceVids.tv
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UyRv8bNDvq4

Need I say that, this video being produced by NASA, without their suspecting it could help debunking purely mechanistic (both electromagnetic and gravitational) models for orbits, I am somewhat less into considering their every word and gesture as automatically plotting.

I presume I have not disproven too much? Like orbits of satellites, could be kept in place by adding some propulsion the way wanted whenever satellite starts moving in (down) or out (up) too much.

Has any artificial satellite ever done totally without this help?

Noster Franzeis - üne Lange konstreute per mei!

1) HGL's F.B. writings : On Constructed Languages · 2) Assorted retorts from yahoo boards and elsewhere : ... on Con-Langs · 3) HGL's F.B. writings : Noster Franzeis - üne Lange konstreute per mei! · 4) Φιλολoγικά/Philologica : Are constructed languages (Na'vi, etc) really languages? Why or why not? (quora)

July 13
I actually found my conlang again, now I have decided to call it "Noster Franzeis".

It is a version of Old or Middle French with High German, in some items specifically Viennese phonology.

A dialogue and an observation on writers are here given in Standard French and in Noster Franzeis:

Note, this is not standard French with a German accent.

In that language, l'eau coule à côté is pronounced "Loh kuhl a kotee", not "La Ehau kuhle a Kostee".

CJM
Oh, this is the language "Ewesch" is from?

Hans-Georg Lundahl
Yes.

Eweske + sk > sch, as per German phonology.

Some natural languages don't have them. in Serbian its kinda optional... желим да jедем means I want to eat, but it literally translates "I wish (to) I eat". да kind of acts as the infinitive, in that it makes the jедем mean to eat, even though its conjugated in present first person singular. This kind of thing is also used exclusively in Greek, Bulgarian and Macedonian.

In greek... thelo na fao
thelo (I want) na (to) fao (I eat)

In these languages, the dictionary forms are usually rendered in first person singular or third person singular.

HGL
"желим да jедем" + "thelo na fao"

Balcanic Sprachbund?

Both other Slavic languages and older versions of Greek have infinitive.

Ethelo fagein. (Shouldn't have said that, getting hungry).
Polish has chcę jeść [I want + to eat ]

CH
yep, that's exactly what I'm talking about.

[Screen shot of Balkan Sprachbund article]

HGL
Wonderful!

Speaking of Sprachbund, how do you like Trubetskoy's idea, Indo-European language community started out as a Sprachbund rather than by a Proto-Language?

CH
I've never actually heard of this. But no, I would rather like to think that the languages from europe diverged from a single language, rather than several languages sharing similar grammar because of sprachbund. It just seems more natural to me.

HGL
Since "natural" means "born with", I'll bear with your thinking it more natural.

But look at heading of the article you quoted:

"Several features are found across these languages though not all need apply to every single language."

Very true for IE too.

"While they share little vocabulary, their grammars have very extensive similarities; for example they have similar case systems and verb conjugation systems and have all become more analytic, although to differing degrees."

Apart from Turkish all Balkan languages are IE.

This means "share little vocabulary" applies even more to IE.

Roumanian and Bulgarian arguably share more vocabulary than Spanish and Ukrainean.

[In case anyone thinks this unclear, of course Roumanian and Spanish share more than Roumanian and Bulgarian, and Bulgarian and Ukrainean also more than Roumanian and Bulgarian - but when a Slavic and a Romance language are both Balkan based (Roumanian and Bulgarian), they are closer than when they are neither Balkan based nor neighbourse elsewhere (Spanish and Ukrainean).]

My Greek professor cited this theory of Trubetskoy - and now I see Trubetskoy was one of the early experts on Balkan Sprachbund.

[Speaking of Trubetskoy, he was better off under Austrofascism than after the Anschluss. Composer and Music Theorician Schenker was also better off under Austrofascism (he died in 1935, old age of 67) than his widow after Anschluss]

Is Pope Michael behind this?

I mean, is Pope Michael behind the kind of proposal Robb Thurston made, below.

Hans-Georg Lundahl
I think the Christian militias have a right to defend Christian populations.

old link from 2014:

Muslims Rape Christian Women, 600 Christians Take Up Arms And Make One Final And Heroic Stand Against Muslim Jihadists
By Theodore Shoebat, on July 7, 2014

Robb Thurston
In the USA, the KKK should do that. They are worthy!

Hans-Georg Lundahl
Are they?

Aren't they still supporting eugenicism and things like that?

Robb Thurston
Isn't the Pope still Infallible? No, just let the KKK protect the USA abd if you ask too many questions, you are a Radical Jihadist. Capiche

Hans-Georg Lundahl
Has HH Pope Michael endorsed KKK?

And as for "abd if you ask too many questions, you are a Radical Jihadist" - you sound like a thug, not like a Catholic?

Also, a Pope being infallible does NOT mean he can secretly give an order and that order is also covered by infallibility, if such should be the case.

Popes are infallible in certain contexts, like speaking up before the whole Church.

If a Pope should make a deal with FBI, CIA, KKK, KGB, Gestapo or whatever, such a deal is NOT covered by Papal infallibility and a Catholic is perfectly free to oppose it.

I hope you get that distinction, which was hammered down by your possible patron Saint, St Robert Bellarmine, in his controversies with James VI & I.

I hope HH is aware of the distinction, if he is not, he is too bad in theology, perhaps even a heretic, to be a Pope.

Robb Thurston
The KKK is a society of knights who are engaged in home guard. I propose that the Muslims should be suppressed under the rulership of a pious Christian Emperor, and the KKK has that Emperor, the Grand Dragon. O/K you go on quibbling, and women get raped, boys are forced into concubinage, Christian art is effaced as "idolatry", and so on. You want an election and popular votes on this, you want liberalism, but all that which smacks of liberalism was condemned in a Bull: "https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Execrabilis". (1) secure Christendom with a Great Emperor; (2) convene many monasteries to consider ethics of converting the Muslim to the Peace of the Christian Emperor. When Mecca and Medina are Christian shrines, we can consider conciliation of local cultures. In the mean time, secure women and children, as even a sea captain knows best.

Hans-Georg Lundahl
"The KKK is a society of knights who are engaged in home guard."

The Templars were a society of knights, and they were condemned by the Council of Vienne in Isère. 1313.

Not due to difference between Home Guard or Crusades to the lands occupied by Muslims, but due to doctrinal and therefore also pastoral faults.

I was asking whether KKK had cleared itself of its previous and well known doctrinal errors.

"I propose that the Muslims should be suppressed under the rulership of a pious Christian Emperor,"

I do not know exactly what kind of suppression you mean.

If you mean suppression of their agression, I would be for it. Not just Daesh / Islamic state, but also of their role in psychiatry and their predominance in organised welfare.

They do give lots of food to the poor, but sometimes a bit too much. And neither beer nor always even coffee to go with it.

If you mean suppression of their private lives, I am against it.

"and the KKK has that Emperor, the Grand Dragon."

Oh, is that so?

The Empire was never electing its Emperors by the leaders of societies of knights, when it functioned.

It was electing its Emperors through the Electors.

"O/K you go on quibbling, and women get raped, boys are forced into concubinage, Christian art is effaced as 'idolatry', and so on."

My socalled quibbling has not stopped anyone from fighting Muslims.

"You want an election and popular votes on this, you want liberalism, but all that which smacks of liberalism was condemned in a Bull" [Exsecrabilis]

And making a heretic Emperor was as condemned as making a heretic Pope in another Bull, Cum ex Apostolatus.

I was asking whether KKK had ceased to be heretics.

You have not given a straight answer, you have only shirked the issue.

"(1) secure Christendom with a Great Emperor;"

Good idea per se.

At least possibly so.

"(2) convene many monasteries to consider ethics of converting the Muslim to the Peace of the Christian Emperor."

I think the ethics have already been considered.

The answer is:

  • a) a Christian who apostasises to Islam may be forced to recant;
  • b) a Muslim (individual or force) who agresses Christians in such ways as to merit death penalty may be forced to recant;
  • c) a Muslim who is not an apostate and who has not agressed Christians should be offered missionaries but left free to decide.

[In fact, the same principles apply to all non-Christian religions.]

"When Mecca and Medina are Christian shrines, we can consider conciliation of local cultures."

As far as it is possible, conciliation of local cultures should come first. Not as end result of a war project.

"In the mean time, secure women and children, as even a sea captain knows best."

I am not sure KKK is best suited all over North America to provide that service. Most communities the men should be doing that even without the KKK.

And KKK is not suited at all, as long as engaged in heresies about race or eugenicism.

That is why I made the question about whether they had renounced eugenicism.
Craig Crawford
When are Christians going to stand up and defend themselves against Jewish terror?

Hans-Georg Lundahl
Perhaps not a bad question.

Perhaps there will come a day when I will have to. Not sure.

[I was not challenged, but I am referring to things like psychiatry and the Jewish version of the kind of omertà which Robb Thurston was asking of me.]
